CO2 DeepStore - CO2 Capture and Storage

CO₂DeepStore Ltd is a UK based company specifically focussed on the commercialisation of carbon capture and storage. The need for this is based on the growing global imperative for immediate and sustained reduction of CO₂ emissions to mitigate climate change.

The primary focus of the business is to reduce CO₂ emissions through cost effective, safe and long term sequestration of industrial volumes of anthropogenic CO₂. CO₂Deepstore is a developer and operator of deep geological CO₂ storage facilities located in depleted gas fields and large saline aquifers.

CO₂ DeepStore has the capability to lead the front end engineering design and detailed design of our transport and storage project developments and create funding partnerships to enable project implementation. We will manage storage project construction and implementation in conjunction with our sub contract partners.

Involvement in CCS is part of Petrofac's diversification into the low carbon energy sector. Development and operation of CO₂ transport and storage facilities represent considerable synergy with Petrofac's current oil & gas facilities business.

As part of this focus, CO₂DeepStore's management is seeking to

Ensure the effective capture of CO₂ at the major emission sites (power stations,
cement works, steel plants etc)
Ensure the development and operation of the necessary infrastructure to transport CO₂
from the point of capture to the carbon dioxide storage reservoir
Identify, develop, license and operate deep geological carbon dioxide storage reservoirs. This includes the long-term monitoring of the reservoir after CO₂ injection has been completed.
Work with the existing owners of gas field assets to enable an optimised transition of the asset into CO₂ service where value is preserved for all parties.
